The first appearance of our teammate's name above is a virtual rubbing from the Vietnam Wall Memorial to Americans lost during the Vietnam War.  By virtue of this remarkable tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, the names of our fallen teammates will endure far beyond those of us who survived them . . . and we are proud that they will.

Our teammate, James Edward Hughes, was born on October 15, 1933 and joined the Armed Forces in his hometown of Lynchburg, Virgina.  He served as a 05B4S in the United States Army Special Forces.  In 14 years of service, he attained the rank of SSGT/E6.

On March 13, 1966, at the age of 32, Staff Sergeant Hughes perished in the service of our country in South Vietnam.

You can find James Edward Hughes honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 6E, Row 3.

Our country will never forget . . .
